R Madhavan burst on the Bollywood scene in 2001 with Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein. Almost two decades later, he looks better than ever at 49, reports India Today.
The actor shared a selfie on his Instagram account last night, and his salt and pepper look set many hearts racing. "Editing is so much fun and exhausting:. Enjoying and fearing it... End of long travel day. Definitely getting older... #rocketrythefilm," he captioned.
One of Madhavan's fans, an 18-year-old girl, could not resist slipping in a proposal in the comments section. "Is it wrong that I'm 18 and wanna get married to you?" she asked.
"Ha ha ha, God bless you... You will find someone way worthier," he replied.
Netizens were bowled over by the humble and classy response. Several women also told the 18-year-old fans to "get in line".

On the work front, Madhavan was last seen in a special appearance in Aanand L Rai's Zero, which had Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles.
Currently, Madhavan is gearing up to make his directorial debut with Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, which also features him in the eponymous role. The film tells the story of scientist and aerospace engineer S Nambi Narayanan, who was falsely accused of espionage.
Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, which was shot simultaneously in English, Hindi, and Tamil, will hit the theatres sometime this year.
