The National Identity (NID) branch of Election Commission (EC) has introduced a help number to solve the card related problems including getting back the lost one and correction on Wednesday.
It urged people to call during 8 am to 8 pm with “105” number for any solution.
It’s known that, to earn advices and for solutions the service was launched long ago but it was not effective enough. To speed up the NID related services, the concerned branch strengthened their actions once again on Monday (July 22).
Bri. Gen. Muhammad Syedul Islam, Director General of NID division said, to speed the service up it has opened two shifts to note advices and completions spoken through the number. The shifts maintain two schedules from 8 am to 2 pm and from 2 pm to 8 pm.
The help service was launched in 2015 with a little function and it added more functions in 2017 which is now operated by 25 workmen increasing 15 more manpower, he mentioned.
