Teenager Gang: 3 on 2-day remand, 11 sent to jail

A Dhaka court has placed 3 on 2-day remand and sent 11 to jail who were alleged members of “First Hitlar Boss”, a teenager gang based in Uttara of capital on Monday.

The members of the gang were produced before the Dhaka Metropolitan Court earlier in the day as they were detained by Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-1 at midnight on Saturday (20 July, 2019) from Uttara Purba thana’s Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) office area.

The detainees are Bishu Chandra Sheel, 20, Nayeem Mia, 18, Yasin Arafat, 18, Asif Mahmud, 20, Farhad Hossen, 21, Al Amin Hossen, 19, Bijoy, 19, Shown Hossen Sifat, 21, Imamul Hasan Munna, 19, Tanvir Howlader, 18, Akash Mia, 18, Merajul Islam Jani, 20, Hazrat Ali, 18 and Rajib, 18.

Bishu Chandra Sheel, Nayeem Mia and Al Amin Hossen were placed 2-day remand and rest of the were sent to jail by the court. A SBBL gun and a sharpen knife were also seized with the anti-teenager gang drive, according to a statement released by RAB-1.

L. Colonel Sarwar bin Kashem, Captain of RAB-1 said, several teenager gangs were sighting to disturb people and increasing their influence over Uttara, Abdullahpur, Tangi, Uttarkhan, Dakkhinkhan and the nearby areas.

The gangs were ragging over the schools and colleges, eve-teeging girls, having drugs, snatching and raising fear over the residence ridding motorbikes with loud sound, he added.
