A group of students of Dhaka University (DU) have gone on a strike halting classes and exams demanding exclusion of 7 government colleges which were affiliated by the university. Following a previous declaration, the students hanged locks on the academic and administrational buildings on Sunday morning.
The agitating students of DU announced the strike to continue until a cancellation order be put.
Earlier in the day, a chaos was prompted when the university staffs went to unlock the gates, interrupted by the students and the gates were remain locked, a source said.
Having the gates are locked whole classes and administrative functions of DU went off and being continued through afternoon.
When the Pro-VC (administration) Professor Muhammad Samad tried to enter his office around 9 am was also faced the agitation and interrupted by the students. He called to withdraw the strike on the students until an unanimous process be made.
