The results of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent were published on Wednesday where 47,586 examinees have achieved GPA-5 as the pass rate was 73.93 percent in average. As many as 13,58,505 students took part in the HSC and equivalent examination.
Number of GPA-5 achievers and cleared students are increased this year comparatively as the figure is 18,324. As many as 29,262 students had achieved GPA-5 last year.
Earlier in the day, the chairmen of the educational board handed over the results copies to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Gana Bhaban. According to the documents, some 41,807 examinees achieved GPA-5 from 8 general educational board and pass rate of those board is 71.85 percent.
On the other hand, the number of GPA-5 achievers from madrasa board are 2,243 and pass rate of the board is 88.56 percent. Some 3,238 students achieved GPA-5 from Bangladesh Technical Board (BTEB) and the pass rate of the board is 82.62 percent.
Comparatively, the pass rate of Madrasa board is on the top as well as the previous years. Technical board and general board are on the second and third position of the passing rate respectively.
The number of examinees from 8 general boards were 11,38,550 while 88,451 examinees took part in the Alim examination under madrasa board and 1,24,264 students from technical board.
