Ayesha Siddiqa Minni, main eyewitness and wife of brutally murdered Rifat Sharif, has been taken to police station for interrogation in a case filed over the incident.
Police brought Minni from her home at Myt area in Barguna municipality on Tuesday morning, Superintendent of Police of the district Mohammad Maruf Hossen told Jago News.
He said, Minni has been taken to the police line around 10 am as she is the main eyewitness of the brutal murder case though she was not shown yet as arrestee in the case.
Meanwhile, Mozammel Hossen Kishore, father of Minni, went to the police station with his daughter who has been taken by law enforcement officials.
He told Jago News over mobile phone that police took Minni in their custody to identify an accused and she will have been taken home back if the identification been finished.
Rifat, 22, was hacked to death by criminals in front of his wife Ayesha Siddika Minni in broad daylight in the district town on June 26. The incident was caught on surveillance camera.
The entire incident was captured in a surveillance camera which showed the miscreants hitting Rifat indiscriminately while his wife was trying to save him.
