Teachers at Rajshahi University have postponed their ongoing strike till May 28 that strike was enforced in protest of RU teachers AFM Rezaul Karim Seddiki killing.They came up with the decision Tuesday following the assurance from three ministers and the inspector general of police of taking steps to arrest the culprits.Professor Shah Azam Shantonu, general secretary of Rajshahi University Teachers Association, said at a press conference that we will resume boycotting classes and examinations if the government fails to arrest the killers by this time.On April 23, Proffessor Siddiquee was brutally murdered in Rajshahi city’s Shalbagan area in an attack that police say bears the hallmark of the previous blogger killings.The teachers went on strike on the same day protesting the murder.
