A union parishad member at Hathazari upazila in Chattogram has been served a show-cause notice for spreading a rumour about Padma bridge on social media.
Hathazari Upazila Nirbahi Officer Ruhul Amin sent the notice to Alamgir Hossain, a member of 1 No. ward of 11 No. Fotepur union on Wednesday night.
Confirming the matter to Jago News, Ruhul Amin said: "Alamgir on Tuesday morning wrote on his facebook account that human heads will be required to construct Padma Bridge that is a rumor. He was asked to reply the notice within three days."
