Probe report in Wari child murder case July 24

A Dhaka court today set July 24 to submit probe report in the case filed over rape and subsequently murder of seven-year-old Samia Afrin Saima in capital’s Wari area on Friday, reports BSS. 

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Atiqur Rahman passed the order, accepting the first information report filed in the case.

Saima’s father Abdus Salam filed the case under Women and Children Repression Prevention Act with Wari Police Station this morning and police so far has detained five including the owner of the building, where Saima’s family is living.

Meanwhile, forensic experts have said the little girl was raped before being strangled to death with a rope.

Dr Sohel Mahmud of Forensic Department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital said these after conducting autopsy on Saima’s body.

Saima, nursery-grade student of Silverdale School went missing after going out to play on Friday afternoon. Her body was found on the 8th floor of their under construction building at 8pm, with a rope still wrapped around her neck.
