2 ministers visit rail accident victims in Sylhet

Railways minister Md Nurul Islam and Forest and Climate Change minister Md Shahab Uddin visited victims, who injured in Moulvibazar’s rail accident that claimed 4 lives, at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital (SOMC) on Wednesday at 10:15 am.  

The two ministers reached Sylhet by the same train that derailed on Sunday. 

The railways minister declared that each family of the deceased will get Tk 1 lakh and each injured person will get Tk 10 thousand.

He said, two committees were formed to investigate the rail accident and the probe report will be received on Thursday. 

Director of SOMC Brigadier General Yunusur Rahman and Deputy Commissioner Kazi M Emdadul Islam were present during this time.

To be noted, four people were killed and more than 100 injured in a train crash at Baramchal in Kulaura upazila of Moulvibazar on Sunday.
