Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader today called upon all to make united efforts to turn the country into a ‘Sonar Bangla’ under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
“Under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, we will represent a better future before the nation,” he told a ceremony of exchanging Eid greetings at the party’s central office at Bangabandhu Avenue, reports BSS.
Quader, also road transport and bridges minister, said the country is now on the highway of development and the trend would be continued.
“We will build a ‘Sonar Bangla’ with maintaining Bangabandhu’s ideology. Awami League will be well organised. The party will be much stronger by team work,” he said.
On behalf of Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, General Secretary Obaidul Quader and senior party leaders exchanged Eid greetings with civil society, diplomats, political party leaders and people of all section.
Exchanging Eid greetings with people on behalf of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Quader welcomed the people to the party office and said people came to Awami League office braving heavy rainfall since morning.
He said this year almost all diplomats including from Islamic countries, Europe, the USA and India joined the ceremony of exchanging Eid greetings.
Referring to the Eid journey, the minister said Eid journey was very comfortable on highways as there was no traffic congestion on the country’s roads and highways.

Besides, a large number of AL leaders and workers exchanged Eid greetings.
