Jailed BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, who is now receiving treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), is much better than before, said the director of BSMMU Brig Gen AK Mahbubul Haque today.
“Her health condition is improving day by day,” the BSMMU director said this at a press briefing held at his office on Wednesday at 11 am.
Earlier on March 25, BNP Chairperson was shifted to BSMMU with high blood sugar level and pain in joints due to arthritis.
Khaleda has been in jail since February 8 last year when a special court awarded her five years in prison in the Zia Orphanage Trust graft case.
The High Court later extended her jail term to 10 years in the case. She was also convicted in the Zia Charitable Trust graft case and handed a seven-year jail term.
