The body of Additional Inspector General of Bangladesh Police Rowshan Ara Begum, who was killed in a road accident in Congo, reached Dhaka early Thursday.
His body arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by a flight of Turkish Airlines at 5am and has been taken to her residence at Hatirjheel Mohanagar Project area in the capital.
She will be buried at Azimpur graveyard, said Assistant Director General of police headquarters (media) Md Sohel Rana.
To be noted, Rowshan Ara Begum was killed and two others injured in a road accident in Congo on May 5 at 6:30 pm (Congo local time). She was working in peacekeeping missions there.
Rowshan began her professional police career in February, 1988 and served in a variety of high-profile positions including Assistant Police Commissioner of the Accounts Section, Reserve Office, Traffic Division and Training Unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police - the largest police unit of Bangladesh Police.
