Work sincerely to bring all culprits to justice: Minister

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal today directed the law enforcement agencies to work sincerely to bring all culprits involved in Nusrat murder case to justice, reports BSS.

Following his return from China today, the home minister enquired about the latest development in Nusrat Jahan Rafi’s murder case and its investigation.

He called the local superintendent of police and got update and later called up the deputy inspector general of Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI), as PBI is now in charge of investigating into the sensational murder case.

The home minister also asked police to ensure impartial investigation of the case and directed them to bring all culprits to book.

“Those responsible for Nusrat Jahan Rafi’s death will not be spared,” Asaduzzaman Khan said.

Nusrat had accused Feni’s Sonagazi Islamia Senior Fazil Madrasa principal Sirajuddoula of sexually harassing her on March 27. She was reportedly exposed to Sirajuddoula’s extreme vengeance on April 6 after she went to the madrasa to appear at the HSC equivalent Alim examination.

A group of masked youths, reported to be the principal’s supporters, took Nusrat to the rooftop of the building and set her on fire in a bid to kill her.
