BNP leader stabbed dead in Bagura

A BNP leader was stabbed to death by the miscreants in Bagura on Sunday night. 

The deceased is advocate Mahbul Alam Shahin, 40, general secretary of Bagura sadar thana unit BNP. He is the son of Anisur Rahman Dula Miah of Dharampur area in the city.

According to the police, Shahin used to chat at Nishindhara Upashohor Bazar every night. He went to the bazar by a private-car around 10 pm and bought some rice from Bismillah Rice Warehouse owned by Mostofa Abu Taher. He came under the attack when he went to a shop for mobile recharge after keeping the rice in the car. The miscreants stabbed him indiscriminately and fled away around 11 pm. Later two pedestrians first admitted him to Swadesh Clinic and later to Mohammad Ali Hospital where the doctors declared him dead. 

The body of Shahin was kept at Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital morgue, said Upashohor Police outpost in-charge Inspector Shafiqul Islam.

Police started the operation to arrest those who behind the murder, he added.
