The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations have been rescheduled for a countrywide daylong hartal called by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami on Thursday.On Wednesday noon, Dhaka Education Board chairman Mahbubur Rahman said the HSC examinations under eight general education boards and Madrasah Education Board will be held on Friday (May 20).He said the exams will begin from 9:00am instead of 10:00am while the second shift exams will begin from 2:30pm on the day.The HSC exam under the Bangladesh Technical Education Board will be held on Sunday (May 15).the exam will begin from 10 am on the day, he added.Jamaat-e-Islami called a 24-hour countrywide hartal for Thursday protesting the execution of its ameer and war criminal Motiur Rahman Nizami.
