IPL 2019: 4 players who can be game changers in KKR vs SH clash

The second match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) season 12 will see a blockbuster clash between two-time winners Kolkata Knight Riders and 2016 champions Sunrisers Hyderabad.

The high-octane game will be played at the Eden Gardens as both teams will be hoping to get off to a winning start in their IPL 2019 campaigns. David Warner is making a comeback to the IPL after being banned for the last season.

So let’s take look at some of the players to look forward to in the KKR vs SRH match:

1. David Warner - The Australian left-handed batsman will have the entire spotlight firmly on him as he makes a comeback to the IPL. He has not played in any big-time competition since being banned by Cricket Australia in March last year and this is his first opportunity to cement his spot in the World Cup team. Warner is one of the stalwarts of the IPL and will be looking to provide explosive starts for the visitors.

2. Andre Russell - If you ask the KKR team about one player who could single-handedly win matches for the team then the most likely answer would be Russell. The West Indian has been a wonderful asset for the KKR team with the bat as he has smashed the opposition bowlers all around the park. Russell will also have to shoulder the responsibility in the pace department as KKR have a depleted fast-bowling unit this season.

3. Rashid Khan - The Afghanistan spin sensation has been the premier bowler for the SRH team since joining them in 2017. It has been extremely difficult for the batsmen to read his bowling variations as he has managed to constantly be in running for the purple cap. The no. 1 T20I bowler will again be the danger man for SRH this season.

4. Dinesh Karthik - The KKR captain took his team to the third spot in the IPL last season and will be aiming for a repeat performance from his side. Karthik is in the running for the second wicketkeeper’s spot in the World Cup for India and will be looking forward to making this season of the IPL count. This could be the last World Cup that Karthik plays for India and he will look to give his best with the bat to impress the selectors.
