GM Quader has been removed from the post of co-chairman of Jatiya Party.
In an order issued on Friday night, the party’s chairman HM Ershad made the announcement two days after his 89th birthday celebration.
“Quader had been removed from organizational duties and the co-chairman post for the interest of the party,” he said in the order.
Quader has completely failed to run the party, created division inside the party and JaPa’s organizational activities have slowed down under his leadership, Ershad said.
“However, he will remain a presidium member. Whether he can remain the deputy leader of opposition in parliament will be decided by the JaPa parliamentary party,” he added.
