Four people were shot during a robbery bid at Gongardharpatti in Manikganj in the early hours of Monday, says police.Manikganj sadar police sub-inspector Al-Mamun said a group of around 12 robbers carrying sharp weapons attacked on an Aparna Rani Roy’s resident in Manikganj city on Sunday night.The robbers attacked the police when they conducted a raid on the spot.Police opened fire that injured four of the robbers. Later, the law enforcers detained them. Other robbers managed to escape the spot.Police recovered sharp weapons from the spot. The detainees are Piyar Ali Shikder, a resident of Joymontop village of Singair upazila, Iman Ali of Sonatengra village, Liakat Ali, resident of Keraniganj area in Dhaka, and a Devnath.The injured are admitted to Manikganj Sadar Hospital.
