The High Court (HC) has ordered to form a commission to constitute a guideline over the physicians’ private practice.
A High Court division bench comprising of FR M Nazmul Ahsan and Md Qamrul Quader passed the order on Tuesday after a hearing against stop private practice of the doctors.
The court in a ruling also asked the government to explain in four weeks why the provision allowing private medical practice of registered government doctors will not be declared unconstitutional.
Health and family welfare ministry’s secretary, director-general of health services, Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council’s president and Bangladesh Medical Association’s president are asked to reply to the ruling.
