Bangladeshi killed in BSF firing in Lalmonirhat

A Bangladeshi national was shot dead by the members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) early Saturday. 

The deceased was identified as Asadul Islam, 30, a cattle trader, son of Kadma of Nawaar Vita village at Patgram upazila in the district. 

According to BGB source, a Bangladeshi smuggling gang went to bring cows near 803 no main pillar of Macherghat border of the upazila early today. At that time, BSF members fired on them. Asad died on the spot and his fellows managed to flee away from the spot. 

BSF recovered the body and eight cows and took those in their custody. 

Confirming the matter to Jago News, BGB Lt Colonel Mostafizur Rahman, said we sent a letter to BSF to bring back the dead body.
