Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is set to resume Dhaka on Friday. But there is a piece of sad news for the Riders’ fans as their dashing batsman Alex Hales won’t entertain them anymore in the remainder of the tournament as the English man will return to England due to a shoulder injury.
The 30-year-old had got a shoulder injury during a match against the Vikings.
Tom Moody, the head coach of Rangpur Riders, confirmed the matter while addressing a press conference on Thursday.
Moddy said:“We were informed yesterday that he would return to England due to a shoulder injury. He sustained shoulder injury during a match against the Vikings. The England Cricket Board (ECB) requested us to leave him for the treatment in England.”
“Unfortunately, he was ruled out of this season’s BPL. He added values in the side. We have lots of player in our camp to replace him,” the coach also said.
The Riders' will also miss AB de Villiers as the Proteas master blaster will also go home due to personal reason.
