Sylhet Sixers posted a decent total of 180-run for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs against Rajshahi Kings during their first match of the BPL’s Chattogram phase on Friday.
Asked to bat first, Liton Das and Sabbir Rahman opened the innings. Liton scored a 13-ball 24 while Sabbir made 1 off 3 balls.
Sylhet’s South African recruit Jason Roy and Afif Hossain added a 36-ball 62 run in the third wicket partnership.
Roy smashed 42 runs’ innings off 28 balls thanks to four fours and two sixes while Afif scored 28 off 29 balls.
Mustafiz bagged two wickets for the Kings.
Earlier, Rajshahi Kings won the toss and opted to bowl first.
Leg-spinning all-rounder Alok Kapali is leading the Sixers today.
Bottom-ranked Sylhet Sixers have secured four points from eight matches while Rajshahi Kings is placed at fifth position with eight points from the same number of matches.
