BSF kills Bangladeshi in Thakurgaon

A Bangladeshi has been killed by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) in Ranisankail upazila of Thakurgaon district.

The deceased was Jahangir Alam Raju, in his twenty- one, son of Badsha Mia at Sahanabad village.

Confirming the matter, Lt Col Tuhin Mohammad Masud of BGB Thakurgaon-50 battalion, said a group of cattle traders entered the Indian territory at around 4am on Friday. During that time, a BSF petrol team abruptly fired on them while one died on the spot and the rest fled the scene.

We are trying to talk to the BSF authorities to return the body, the colonel said.
