The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations have been rescheduled for a countrywide daylong hartal called by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.Confirming the matter Dhaka Education Board chairman Mahbubur Rahman said the HSC examinations under eight general education boards and Bangladesh Technical Education Board will be held on Monday (May 9) while that under the Madrasah Education Board will be held on May 22.Jamaat-e-Islami has called a 24-hour countrywide daylong hartal for Sunday protesting at the death penalty for its Ameer Matiur Rahman Nizami.
