Two people, including a woman, were killed and five others injured in a clash over land dispute at Protabpur village in Patuakhali on Thursday.The deceased were identified as Rustom Ali, 45, and his sister-in-law Maleka Begum, 55.Police and locals said there had been a longstanding dispute between Jashim and Bashir over a piece of land.The two groups locked in a clash about 8:00am.They equipped with home-made weapons attacked each other, leaving seven people injured.Critically injured, Rustom and Maleka were taken to Barisal Medical College Hospital (BMCH) where doctors declared them dead around 1pm.Masum, Officer-in-charge (OC) of Sadar Police Station said they detained two people-Jasim and Rabeya-from the spot.
