The Jatiya Party chairman Hussain Muhammad Ershad is going to return home tonight.
SM Faisal Chisty, a presidium member of the party, confirmed the matter on Wednesday.
He said Ershad is expected to arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal Internation airport at 9pm. Then he will go to his home in the capital’s Baridhara.
The former president was expected to return home on Monday, according to party sources. But he didn’t come to Bangladesh from Singapore on that day.
Ershad along with Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu left Bangladesh for Singapore on December 10.
Japa will contest the 11th parliamentary elections in 161 seats including 29 seats from Awami League-led grand alliance.
The national elections will be held on December 30.
