JSD announces 38-point election manifesto

Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) today announced its 38-point election manifesto, calling upon people to vote for the candidates of Awami League-led grand alliance in the next general election to be held on December 30 next, reports BSS.

JSD President and Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu revealed the election manifesto at a press conference at the party’s headquarters at Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital.

In its election manifesto, the JSD, a major ally of the Awami League-led 14-parrty combine, said: “The BNP-Jamaat Jote in principle is against the spirit of the country’s independence and the liberation war…The Jote is dangerous for the country and its people”.

The election manifesto says if the JSD can be able to form the government, it will play an active role to root out militancy and intensify the anti-militant campaign.

Highlighting his party’s election manifesto, Inu said this manifesto will reflect the hopes and aspirations of youths, and national and rural development.

Replying to a query, the JSD president said his party will prepare a database and a list of job-seekers, recruit staff in all vacant posts and increase the service-entry age to 35 years from 30.

JSD general secretary Shirin AKhter, MP, standing committee members Meer Hossain AKhter, Prof Dr Anower Hossain and Mosharraf Hossain, and vice-president Shahidiul Islam were, among others, present.
