A teacher of a private university in Dhaka has been detained over sexual abuse allegations.Mahfuzur Rashid Ferdous, who taught at the Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), was also serving as the assistant proctor there. There are several allegations against Mahfuzur for sexually abusing female students, it is learnt.Police in a drive detained him from his own flat in the capital’s Kolabagan on Tuesday night.Officer-in-charge of Kolabagan Police Station Md. Iqbal Hosen confirmed the news to Jagonews24.com.It is mentionable that, Mahfuzur has suspended by AUST authority following demonstrations by students who want him punished on April 30.
