The former president of Bangladesh and also the president of Jatiya Party Hussain Muhammad Ershad was admitted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka.
The deputy press secretary of Ershad, Delwar Jalali, confirmed the matter.
He went to the hospital as part of his regular checkup, he informed.
Ershad is likely to go to Singapore for the regular checkup. But the schedule is yet to be fixed, the press wing official also informed.
