Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also the president of Awami League, has ordered to give priority to youth in their election manifesto for the upcoming national polls due to be held on December 30.
She directed to concerned officials in the cabinet meeting at Bangladesh Secretariat on Monday.
The presidium member of the Awami League, also the convener of AL election manifesto sub- committee, said the election manifesto will be unveiled after distributing polls symbol.
The party chief will announce the election manifesto, he added.
He unfolded this following the party’s election manifesto committee meeting in the political office of AL president on Saturday.
Abdur Razzaque also said that the ruling party believes that young voters would be the determining factor in the coming election which the AL chief termed very crucial for the country and its development.
‘There’ll be a guideline on the projects that remained unimplemented during its last two tenures,’ he also said.
According to him, the manifesto will also focus on the shortcomings in various sectors to make Bangladesh a developed and prosperous country by 2041. ‘We’ve identified the sectors that should have been prioritised to make the country a developed one by 2041,’ he said.
Replying to a question, the committee chief said the election manifesto will give priority to the balanced development of the country, quality education and appropriate employment opportunities for the youth.
