BNP starts distributing nomination letters

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has started distributing nomination letters to the candidates who will contest the 11th parliamentary election.

BNP on Sunday night started distributing the letters from its Chairperson Gulshan political office without any formal announcement.

The nomination letter distributing programme continued on Monday and the party also published a partial list of the final candidates on Tuesday.

Some nomination seekers of BNP and concerned leaders disclosed the matter to Jago News.

They said BNP handed over the nomination letters to some leaders. Israt Sultana Elen Bhuttu is among them who got the letter for Jhalkathi-2 constituency. 

Riajul Hannan, a BNP nomination seeker from Gazipur-4 constituency, said he was phoned to collect the nomination letter from Gulshan office by Monday at 1pm.   

In this connection, BNP’s Senior Joint Secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said they will announce the candidates on time given by election commission. 

Joint Secretary General Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal said they will publish the full list of their candidates. 

Standing committee member Goyessor Chandra Roy said we are working to finalize the list of candidates. The final list will be published any day in the running week.

It is mentionable that, the national polls will be held on December 30, according to the reschedule of Election Commission.
