SM Shahjada Saju, nephew of Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda, has been selected as the ruling Awami League’s nominee for Patuakhali-3 constituency in the upcoming election.
Saju is a former leader of Chhatra League and son of the CEC’s sister.
Hearing the news of nomination, Saju’s supporters brought out a procession at Galachipa upazila and adjacent areas in the district.
In this connection, running member of the parliament from Patuakhali-3 constituency A KHA M Jahangir Hossain said he doesn’t see any reason why he has not been selected as the party candidate.
Saju get the nomination because of he is the nephew of CEC, he added.
It is mentionable that, a total of 22 people bought nomination forms for Patuakhali-3 constituency.
