WI score 303/6 on day 1 in warm-up match

Kieran Powell and Shai Hope scored a magnificent half centuries as visiting West Indies reached their first innings at 303 for 6 at stumps against Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) XI on the first day of two-day practice match at MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong today, reports BSS.

Shai Hope composed a brilliant 88 runs off 112-ball laced with 10 boundaries and three over boundaries before being retired hurt while left hand batsman Kiran Powell supported with 72-run off 142-ball that studded with six boundaries and one over boundary, after the visitor won the toss and decided to bat first.

The duo also shared a 163-run innings for the second wickets stand after West Indies lost their skipper Kraigg Brathwaite early in the innings.

Roston Chase (35), Shimron Hetmyer (24) and Shane Dowrich (24) were the other notable scorers for the visitor team.

Keemo Paul and Raymon Reifer were on the crease with 18 and 14 runs as the bails were drawn for the day.

Nayeem Hasan was the pick of Bangladesh bowler as he claimed two wickets conceding 104 runs.

Besides, Soumya Sarkar, Fazle Mahmud, Shafiul Islam and Rubel Hossain took one wicket each conceding 10,11,23 and 40 runs respectively.
