Two youths were identified in connection with the Wednesday’s clash in front of the BNP’s political office at Naya Paltan, claimed police adding that they were not arrested yet.
Mishu Biswas, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Matijheel zone) of DMP, said we are primarily confirmed that the youth who set fire to the police car is Shahjalal Khandakar. He is the convener of Paltan thana Chhatra Dal unit.
Apart from, the youth who was seen jumping on the police car is the member of the Paltan Chhatra Dal unit. But he didn’t disclosed his name.
Earlier on Wednesday night, DMP Commissioner Asaduzzaman Miah said on a television programme that three cases were filed after a clash ensued between police and BNP leaders and activists at Naya Paltan.
