The leaders of Jatiya Oikyafront, an alliance of BNP and other political parties, will meet Election Commission on Wednesday and urged to defer the date of 11th parliamentary election.
We will also discuss some other matters with the Election Commission (EC) and urged them to take some decisions, said BNP’s Secretary General and Oikyafront spokesperson Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir told the journalists on Tuesday.
Earlier, Oikyafront leaders held a meeting at their chief Gono Forum President Dr Kamal Hossain’s chamber at Motijheel in the capital.

We are disappointed as the EC announced election schedule by not holding a meeting with all political parties, he said.
Mirza Fakhrul also said we think that the EC don’t have interest to hold a free and fair election.
Earlier on November 12, the EC announced new election schedule following the demand of different political parties.
As per the new schedule, the 11th parliamentary election will be held on December 30. The last date for submitting nomination papers is 28 November.
