15 AL leaders to vie against Mashrafe

A total of 15 leaders of Awami League (AL) will vie against Bangladesh cricket captain Mashrafe bin Mortaza who bought a nomination form for Narail-2 constituency to contest the upcoming national polls with AL ticket.

16 candidates including Mashrafe bought nomination form from AL president’s Dhanmondi political office as the national polls is scheduled to be held on December. 

They are Narail district AL President Advocate Subas Chandra Boash, General Secretary Nizam Uddin Khan Nilu, Vice President Advocate Syed Aiyub Ali, SM Asifur Rahman Bappy, Lohagara upazila AL adviser Lt. Colonel (rtd) Syed Hasan Iqbal, Businessman Basudeb Banerjee, AL central committee’s Youth and Sports sub-committee member Sheikh Md. Aminur Rahman Himu, Juba League central committee Organizing Secretary Sharmin Sultan Sharmi, Narail district AL members Md. Rashidul Bashar Doller, SK Abu Baker, Hasanuzzaman, AL Relief and Social Welfare sub-committee member Advocate Sheikh Tariqul Islam, former student leader Habibur Rahman Tapos, Sechwasebak League central committee member Sheikh Md. Nuruzaman, Lohagara upazila AL committee member Munshi Kamruzzaman Kajal and AL leader Md. Suzon Rahman.  

On November 11, Bangladesh limited-over captain Mashrafe bin Mortaza bought a nomination form of Awami League (AL) for Narail-2 constituency to contest the national polls. 

Mashrafe reached the AL President’s Dhanmondi political office at 1:45pm and collected the form from AL general secretary Obaidul Quader.
