Bangladesh limited-over captain Mashrafe bin Mortaza on Sunday bought a nomination form of Awami League (AL) for Narail-2 constituency to contest the national polls.
Mashrafe reached the AL President’s Dhanmondi political office at 1:45pm and collected the form from AL general secretary Obaidul Quader.
AL Joint Secretary Generals Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Doctor Dipu Moni, Organizing Secretary Khalid Mahmud Choudhury, Information and Research Secretary Advocate Afzal Hossain and Relief and Disaster Management Secretary Sujit Roy Nandi were present among others at this time.
This year, the price of AL nomination paper is Tk 30,000.
As per the schedule, the 11th parliamentary elections will be held on 23 December (Sunday) while the last date for submitting nomination papers is 19 November, the date for scrutinising nomination papers is 22 November and the last date for the withdrawal of nomination papers is 29 November.
