The national polls schedule will be announced in next week, the secretary of Election Commission (EC) Helal Uddin Ahmed said on Wednesday.
The EC secretary said this at an inter-ministerial meeting held at Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital.
He said 80 percent works of the election preparation have already been completed adding that we have a plan to use the Electronic Voting Machines in the polls.
Earlier on October 18, the EC secretary said the schedule of the 11th parliamentary poll would be announced in the first week of November.
