Admission test results of Dhaka University Gha-unit for 2018-19 academic session have been published with a pass rate of 26.21 percent.
DU vice-chancellor Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman on Tuesday afternoon announced the results at the central admission office in the university’s administration building.
A total of 18,463 out of 70,440 secured the pass mark or got more in the multiple choice question test containing 120 marks with 26.21 per cent pass rate, said the DU VC.
Yesterday, the DU authorities postponed the "Gha" unit admission test results following allegations of question paper leak. The result was scheduled to be published today.
Earlier in the day (Monday), the authorities issued a press release saying that the exam results would be published today. But hours later, another press release was issued stating: “The previous press release was sent because of wrong information given by the assignment officer of the vice chancellor office....”
The admission tests for "Gha" unit were held Friday amid allegations of question paper leak. The university authorities formed a three-member probe body the next day and asked it to submit a report within 48 hours.
Law enforcers have found evidence that hand-written question papers of DU “Gha” unit admission test were leaked 43 minutes prior to the exam and circulated by two admission information centres in Bogura.
Six people, including an admission seeker and his father, were arrested on Saturday in connection with the incident. Each of them were taken on a two-day remand on Sunday.

To get results through SMS, candidates should type in ‘DU’ ‘D’ ‘Roll Number’ and send it to 16321.
The successful candidates in the admission tests have been asked to fill in ‘choice form’ on online and submit the documents from October 22 to October 31.
The admission test of ‘C’ unit for the session 2018-2019 was held on October 12.
