ICC World Cup Trophy will arrive in Bangladesh on October 17 next as part of its worldwide ‘Trophy Tour’ ahead of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 scheduled to be held in England.
The trophy will be visiting Bangladesh’s three cities - Dhaka, Sylhet and Chattogram over five days period.
It will be displayed in front of BCB academy from 11am to 12am on October 17 before displaying publicly at Jamuna Future Park on October 18.
The trophy will then travel to Sylhet on October 19 and Chattogram on October 20.
Earlier, the trophy tour begun from International Cricket Council headquarters in Dubai on August 27 last. It was scheduled to visit 60 cities of 21 countries in five continents including football-dominated countries Germany, Belgium and France.
At last, the trophy will reach England and Wales on February 19, 2019 for a domestic trophy tour for 100 days.
However, they trophy won’t be travelling to Afghanistan, a participant of next year’s mega event.
The 12th edition of Cricket World Cup will begin on May 30 next year. The Final will be held at Lord’s on July 14. The tournament will consist only 10 teams this time.
