Former South African skipper AB de Villers will be playing for Rangpur Riders in the upcoming edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
The media manager of the Rangpur Riders, Ashanur Ramzan Rony, told Jago News that Villers isn’t available for the first three matches of the tournament due to his Big Bash schedule in Australia. After that, he will be available for the rest of the matches.
This will be his first BPL stint.
Meanwhile, Rangpur Riders signed England’s dashing opener Alex Hales for the sixth edition.
The team retained Chris Gayle, Mashrafe Mortaza, Nazmul Islam and Mohammad Mithun.
The money-spinning tournament will start on January 5, 2019.
