Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid today said information on education has been made available online as part of the massive digitization campaign of the government, BSS reported.
“We are taking various initiatives to bring the entire education sector under online system for ensuring quality of education,” he told the inaugural function of newly expanded library of Bangladesh Bureau of Educational Information and Statistics (BANBEIS) here, an official release said.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid inaugurated “The Bangabandhu and War of liberation Corner” at the BANBEIS.
Secretary of Secondary and Higher Secondary Division Md Sohrab Hossain, Secretary of Technical and Madrasah Education Board Md Alamgir and Director General of BANBEIS Md Fosiullah, among others, were present at the function.
Nahid said BANBEIS has been turned into a modern organization to provide updated information at the quickest time, which eventually will help improve standard of education.
He said the government has taken various programmes incorporating ICT to ensure quality of education.
“In a technology-based globalised world, quality education is crucial for any country. The government has realised the fact and executed its plans accordingly,” the minister added.
