The High Court has granted anticipatory bail to seven top leaders of BNP including Secretary General Mirza Farkhrul Islam Alamgir in a case filed with Hatirjheel Police Station.
A High Court bench comprising of Justice Mohammad Abdul Hafiz and Justice Kashefa Hossain passed the order on Wednesday.
The other accused who got bail in the case are BNP standing committee member Dr. Abdul Moeen Khan, Mirza Abbas, Goyeshwar Chandra Roy, Nazrul Islam Khan, Vice Chairman Aman Ullah Aman and Organizing Secretary Ruhul Kuddus Talukder Dulu.
On October 1, police filed a case against 55 BNP leaders and activists, including Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, for ‘instigating people against the government’ and ‘preventing the police from doing their duty’.
