Four members of a family were hacked in Abbas Ali Sarak area under Raipur upazila in Lakshmipur around 4 am on Friday.The injured were Mohin Uddin Babor, his wife Angurer Nesa, daughters Mohima Akhter and Safura Akhter.Locals said Mohima’s husband Nazmul Hossain locked into a quarrel with his parents-in-law over some family matter.At one stage of the quarrel, Nazmul randomly hacked the four with a sharp weapon.Lokman Hossain, officer in charge (OC) of Raipur Thana said, the injured were immediately taken to Raipur upazila Health Complex later admitted to Lakshmipur Sadar Hospital.He said police have detained Nazmul in connection to the incident.
