Durga Puja to be celebrated at 30,000 mandaps

The Durga Puja will be celebrated at over 30,000 Puja Mandaps (pandels) across the country this year, reports BSS. 

This was announced at a meeting of Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad (BPUP) at Dhakeswari National Temple here today.

As many as 30,077 permanent and temporary pandals were erected in the country including 231 in the capital city last year.

Beginning on October 15, the five-day celebration will end on October 19 with immersion of Goddess Durga in the capital as elsewhere across the country.

Leaders BPUP urged people of the country to celebrate the Durga Puja amid enthusiasm.
