Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) is going to celebrate its silver jubilee from tomorrow since the capital market watchdog has already completed 25 years of its journey, BSS reported.
To mark this milestone, the BSEC has chalked out elaborate programmes, including cultural function, discussion, reunion and seminar, for seven days.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to inaugurate the week-long programme at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the city tomorrow, BSEC executive director M Sifur Rahman told a press conference at BSEC office on Monday.
Finance Minister AMA Muhith and senior officials of the government will present at the inaugural function, he said.
He said the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) will also similar programmes in Dhaka and Chattogram respectively on the occasion.
Established on June 08, 1993, the regulatory body was initially named as Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and subsequently it was named as BSEC on December 10, 2012.
