Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers throughout the country in 24 hours as of 9 am on Tuesday, reports BSS.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places in Rangpur and Sylhet divisions, at a few places in Chattogram, Mymensingh and Rajshahi divisions and at one or two places over Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions,” said a Met office press release.
Moderately heavy to heavy falls may also take place at some places in northern part of the country in 24 hours commencing 9 am on Monday.
Day and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.
The maximum temperature was recorded 35.8 degrees Celsius yesterday at Jashore in Khulna while today’s minimum temperature 24.0 degrees Celsius at Tetulia in Rangpur division.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am today was recorded 67 mm at Tetulia in Rangpur division.
