The leaders and activists of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on Monday organized a hour-long human chain programme demanding the release of the party’s chairperson Khaleda Zia.
The programme was held in front of the National Press Club from 11am to 12pm.
BNP’s Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Alamgir, Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan, chairperson’s adviser Aman Ullah Aman, Habibur Rahman Habib, Ruhul Alam Choudhury, Joint Secreatry General Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal were present during this time.
The former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia has been serving time in prison since being sentenced to five years in the Zia Orphanage Trust graft case on Feb 8.
