Ansar Al Islam claims double murder

A banned group in Bangladesh tied to al-Qaeda has claimed responsibility for the killing of a Roopbaan editor Xulhaz Mannan and his friend Mahbub Rabbi Tonoy.Ansar al-Islam, the Bangladesh division of Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent confirmed this in a statement posted on twitter account on Tuesday.The graphic message issued by Ansar spokesperson Mufti Abdullah Ashraf read, ‘The mujahideen of Ansar Al Islam (AQIS Bangladesh branch) were able to assassin Xulhaz Mannan and his associate Samir MahbubTonoy. They were the pioneers of practicing and promoting homosexuality in Bangladesh.’It is mentionable that, miscreants on Monday evening chopped Xulhaz Mannan, a Political Process Analyst at the USAID and his friend Mahbub Tonoy, 26, a private university student, to death at Kolabagan area.
